CHISLEHURST CHASE 2011
3rd Chislehurst Chase (10 k), part of the Chislehurst Festival 2011
In perfect weather over 300 runners took part on Sunday 25 September. With the traffic stopped, the first 100 metres are run on Royal Parade, Chislehurst, then entering St Paul’s Cray Common and remaining off-road for the rest of the 10 kilometres. The course is undulating, taking in woodland paths and open fields. Time lost on the steep slopes may or may not be regained on the sharp descents, so it is not a perfectly designed course for notching up PBs, but it is scenically attractive and we had lots of positive feed-back on the course and the organisation.
