The Lord of the Manor
The current Lord of the Manor, owner of the freehold of Both Chislehurst and St Paul's Cray Commons, is Princess June Lobanov-Rostovsky, who is a niece of the last Viscount Marsham Townsend, together with the Clover Investment Company Limited.
The Lord of the Manor derives revenue from the Commons over the issue of vehicular access over Commons verges between the public highway and freehold or leasehold properties, as well as over the granting of rights to the utility companies for the burying of pipelines and cables.
If the Board of Trustees were to cease to exist for lack of willing volunteers, or for lack of funds, the Commons would revert to the Lord of the Manor.Keeping the Commons for now and for the future.
